CLIENT: KT-LOTOS ASFALT
Grupa Lotos SA, Poland’s second largest refiner, has let a contract to KT-Kinetics Technology SPA, a subsidiary of Maire Tecnimont SPA, Milan, for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of main units involved in the upgrade of its subsidiary Lotos Asfalt’s 10.5 million-tonne/year (tpy) Gdansk refinery.
The scope covers implementation of three major units, including a delayed coker (DCU), a coker naphtha hydrotreater (CNHT), and a hydrogen generation unit (HGU).
Esseti provided for SAIPEM the detailed design of civil works for:
UNIT 960
UNIT 970
UNIT 160
For this process unit Esseti have been developed the following activities:
- Steel structures
- Static equipment foundations
- Dynamic equipment foundations
- Civil works for electrical, instrumental and piping Underground
- Civil works for paving and finishing and road. In detail:
The whole design has been developed with the use of the software TEKLA. All steel structures, their foundations as well as the foundations of the equipment have been modeled three dimensionally, the model was used to extract the bill of quantities and used for the input in the three-dimensional model of the plant to verify the interference.
The design was carried out in accordance with technical European codes.
