To speed up the building construction, both precast and cast in-situ reinforced concrete structural elements were used, keeping the required “Blast Resistance” characteristic.
The whole project, which provided for the construction of about 10'000 m² of buildings, was drafted in accordance with technical American codes (ACI, ASCE, AISC), international architectural codes (INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE) and customer specifications (ARAMCO STANDARDS).
For all buildings also the design of the technical system was drafted. Specifically:
- the design of HVAC mechanical services (direct expansion type with 2x100% air handling units connected to 2x100% air-cooled chillers and electrical re-heating coils);
- the design of the fire fighting system;
- the design of electrical services (lighting, small power, power for HVAC, V&D, PA/GA, and F&G systems);
- the design of the plumbing system.
