SANNAZZARO – BUILDINGS BUNKERIZATION
CLIENT: SNAMPROGETTI-ENI R&M
The project involved the extension and upgrading of petrochemical plants for new code requirements for the safety of strategic buildings located in areas of “high risk explosion”.
EsseTi participated, on behalf of ENI and SNAMPROGETTI, in the design of "blast resistant” refurbishments of buildings.
Together with the structural bunkerization for each building the design provided for the architectural renovation, adaptation of electrical and civil equipment and implementation of special technical systems. The whole project was drafted in accordance with the contents of D.L. 12-06-2003 implementing Directive 1999/92/EC relating to requirements for the protection of the safety and the health of workers exposed to the risk of explosive atmospheres.
EsseTi also participated in the management of construction.
Moreover, for the ENI Refing&Marketing Sannazzaro de’ Burgondi (PV) refinery, bunkerization interventions were designed for the:
- Laboratory Room
- Technical Offices Building
- Changing Room
- Changing House Alkylation Building
- Control Room
- Electrical Room
The following technological systems were implemented:
HVAC mechanical services (air cooled chillers connected to air handling units with energy recovery systems, chemical filters and safety air systems for toxic gas pollutants);
a fire fighting system
electrical services (lighting, small power, power for HVAC, V&D, PA/GA, and F&G systems).
