In 2002, ENI Refining & Marketing SpA planned a significant upgrades (about 670 euro million) and new installations in the Sannazzaro De 'Burgondi (PV) refinery, that included the construction of the plant for gassification of waste oil. The Esseti provided all the detailed design for civil facilities and the new buildings.

  • Detailed design of steel structures and foundations of "GASSIFICATION PLANT" - "UNIT 30", "UNIT 31".
These production units located in a small sized areas forced the development of plant in height. The project provided fifteen multi store structures and foundations of all equipments.

  • Detailed design of steel structures and foundations of "HYDROGEN RECOVERY" – “UNIT 33 ".

  • Architectural and structural detailed design of the "New Control Room."
The building is designed to give to the Control Room "Blast Resistance“ feature. The models and studies of the structural elements were made in accordance with ASCE Report - Design of Blast Resistant Buildings in Petrochemical Facilities.

  • Architectural and structural detailed design of the "New Electrical Substation”.

  • Architectural and structural detailed design to give to building “Laboratory” Blast Resistance feature.
This is a laboratory which works 24 hours a day on refined products. The purpose of structural design has been to expand and give to the existing building "Blast Resistance" features without impacting on the processes. The solution was to "put on" the existing structure precast panels with explosion-proof characteristics, linking them through a system of bolts connected to the existing foundations and the new ceiling.
